The Skilled Swing Bed (SSB) program at OCMH is for patients discharged from acute care at OCMH or another high level of care facility following an acute illness, injury or surgery. These patients may still need time in physical, occupational and/or speech therapy so they can safely return home.

This program's goal is to ease the transition from inpatient care to home by providing patients with trained and caring medical professionals right here at OCMH.

How do I qualify for the SSB program?

​

Admission to the OCMH SSB program requires:

• a minimum of a three-night stay at OCMH or other hospital

• acceptance by an OCMH physician

• Medicare coverage
